The Sounds
Just a few audio sounds from Emerson.
"Google Bus" - he see's them all over town and this was captured on the way to work. He knows that mamma takes the bus.
"Fireworks Go Boom!" - Emerson saw fireworks for the first time on the 4th of Jul, 2013. He likes to talk about what they did.

Bookcase
We have finally finished a wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling bookcase at the house. My parents drove out from NM with a trailer full of hand-crafted furniture for us. It took them 3 days, but they made it.
We got a bed, matching dresser, foot stools, coat rack, a desk I designed when I was 9 and a chair to go with it which belonged to my grandfather. Leading up to this trip, my dad went crazy sending random tools from Amazon.
The really cool part is I took a whole week off work to help build this huge bookcase in the piano room. It was good fun learning from my dad and I have lots of tools to continue to work on new projects. I have a list of things to work on, so we'll see how it goes.

Dancing Cousins
A few weeks ago, we watched Emerson's cousins for the night. We ended up hosting a dance party.

We got a piano!
Good family friends have this amazing Bechstein grand concert piano built in the late 1800's.
They are remodeling their house, so we thought it was a good idea to bring it over to our empty house.
Emerson has a little toy piano, and loves visiting Ross and Tracey's place to play on their piano. Here is his first look at the new addition to our place. He was scared of it at first because he didn't know what it was.
